Sinboy in Bucharest

Last night I randomly met Sinboy while riding the subway here in New York. How fantastic it is that one can run into people from all around the world just by going to "work". He gave me his card and I looked into his site because he said he had done some anti advertising stuff. There is some great work under the projects section, but this Coca-Cola intervention, done in collaboration with Sam3, stood out. Instead of interacting with the actual advertisement the artists created an object completely independent of the advertising itself. In his words, "Our 'little' intervention shows the disastrous side effects that this kind of advertising, which has spiraled out of control, could have on the population and streets of Bucharest." Fantastic.
